Created throughout 2023, this series documents Prahran Skate Park during its final year before redevelopment. Returning to the park across different seasons, times of day and levels of activity, I photographed the skaters, friendships and fleeting moments that gave the space its character. The work looks beyond skateboarding as a sport, presenting the park as a meeting place shaped by movement, repetition and community. Cracks, scrapes, graffiti and worn concrete appear alongside the people who occupied them, preserving both the physical and social traces of a place in transition. The series was later presented at Revolver Upstairs and developed into a 100-page photobook, connecting the photographs back to the local skate community from which they emerged.
