After spending a week running around Los Angeles in nothing but the pouring rain, I had my last afternoon free to skate down from my hotel in Santa Monica, past the volleyball courts, and to explore the global mecca of skate-culture that is Venice Beach. I was then met with a golden-hour that I will never forget.
This series observes the gestures, encounters and quiet pauses that exist between moments of display. The warmth and intimacy that a third-space like this can create. Rather than presenting Venice Beach as a fixed image or familiar cultural symbol, the series considers how identity is performed within public space, and how light, architecture and human presence continually reshape the character of a place.

The paper

The signature
Every print is signed in pencil in the bottom margin, never on the image. Collector Edition prints carry their number beside the signature – and you can ask for a particular number when you enquire, while it's still available.

A certificate of authenticity naming the moment, the edition and the paper – and, for the Collector Edition, the print number. Packed in archival materials, tracked and signed for.
